Gail Marie Farnham, 72, of Hibbing, passed away Oct. 3, 2016, at the Cornerstone Villa in Buhl after a long and difficult battle with physical disabilities from a medical incident in 2000. Her challenges have been numerous and insurmountable at times. In spite of her tenacity she finally succumbed to this 16-year battle this week.

Gail was born in Hibbing on Oct. 14, 1943, to Walter and Toberg (Lervik) Williams. She attended the Hibbing public schools and the Hibbing community college. She was a graduate of the class of 1961.

Gail was a homemaker who also worked with her ex-husband, Dr. Jim Farnham, in his veterinary practice in Hibbing. Gail loved reading books and cooking. She was also a very accomplished painter and sculptor.


She is survived by a daughter, Wendy (Roger) Klaven; two sons, Jay (Amber) Farnham and Jesse (Genevieve) Farnham; seven grandchildren, a sister, Gwen (James) Marion; brothers, Edward (Debra) Williams and Robert (Yadi) Williams; two aunts; and several nieces and nephews in addition to numerous cousins.

She also leaves behind many dear friends who have been supportive of her during this 16-year battle she endured. A special thanks to the hospice staff who were so kind and supportive to Gail.

Funeral: There will be no funeral or services at the present time. A private family memorial may be held at a later date.
