He was a member of Blaine, MN., AA and the Fridley VFW Post.
He is survived by his ex-wife, Helen Woods; children, Christina (Mel Towle) Woods, Shannon Woods; stepchildren, Sandra Walter, Paul Walter, Janet Walter, Victor Walter, Kenneth Walter, Stacy Strelow; grandchildren, Helan Woods, Mallory Towle, Camryn Towle; sisters, Linda Pulford (Dennis-Poufie), Jerri Thiel (R.J.); sister-in-law, Carrie Woods; nieces and nephews; and many family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Woods; mother, Deloris Woods (Hansen); brother, John.

Interment was at the Fort Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis, MN.
